IT equipment uses an enormous amount of energy daily to maintain an acceptable level of temperature. To help save energy, airflow containment systems are specially designed to separate cold supply from hot equipment exhaust air, which improves the cooling capabilities of data centres tremendously.

The cold aisle containment system encloses the cold aisle with ceiling panels above the aisle and with the doors at either end of the aisle. By containing the cold aisle, the hot and cold air streams are fully separated. Cold air will be able to flow from the raised perforated flooring into the aisle to be contained and delivered to the IT equipment air inlets, providing focused cooling.
