These test kits come with labeled sample containers, a record sheet, instructions for collecting a sample, and analysis of each sample. Once a sample has been collected by the customer, it is sent to the laboratory for professional analysis. The analysis employs Scanning Electron Microscopy and Energy Dispersive Radiation to assess the geometry of the sample besides its elemental makeup. With the help of the kits, the analysts are able to distinguish between simple metal particles as well as dangerous tin and zinc whiskers.
